The Nissan Z has been around for almost a decade, and people are still really crazy about it. This year at the Tokyo Motor Show, people will get to have their first look at the next-gen Z concept. This long-awaited redesign is finally in the works, and it has also been rumored that this brand new beauty will be sold with several different powertrain options.

Of these powertrain options, it has been reported that one of these may be a hybrid option for vehicle. This has been talked about for quite some time, and some people (especially those over at CarBuzz), don't seem to want that to happen. It has even been said that Nissan might be done with the Z as they try to build a successor.

According to AutoGuide, as well as CarBuzz, the senior vice president at Nissan Sales, Christian Meunier, has said that the 370Z doesn't really matter to the company. At the New York Auto Show, he said in a roundtable meeting that "the 370Z is not a priority to us," and "I hope we can make a successor."

With all of these rumors floating around, it's hard to get a solid assumption for the future. Is the Z going to be incredible? Is Nissan just going to throw out a low priority remake for some extra cash? We really don't know right now and Nissan should just come out and give the public some information here. We deserve to know what their plans are, but for now, the future is very unclear.
