It has only been a month since Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States. But in that short time, we've seen a lot of changes. One of the most drastic changes has been to the government's stance on climate change and CO2 emissions. In recent years, companies have battled with EPA regulations on how much pollution they are allowed to produce. Now, those regulations are in danger of going away. But what does that mean for cars? Well, except for foreign cars, of course.

For the most part, the majority of these coming EPA changes are going to affect emissions for factories, coal mines, and the like. However, that does include car manufacturers. As far as specific car emissions, though, we may not see many drastic changes. Sure, the US is turning its back on higher emission standards, but the rest of the world isn't. If a domestic vehicle manufacturer wants to see success overseas, they will most likely need to continue to satisfy climate-friendly vehicles. That doesn't mean that there won't simply be different models for domestic vs. abroad. However, that doesn't seem particularly practical.

Regardless, only time will tell us for sure.
