We can't seem to stop talking about the Bullitt. It's an iconic car brought to the modern age. Only a DeLorean could get me more excited for a 2019 remake. But the DeLorean isn't here, so we're talking about the Bullitt.

The legendary car has had its first official sale at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale sale for $300,000. The proceeds of the vehicle will be going to the non-profit Boys Republic school for troubled youth.

The model is due to go public later this year, though the official price remains unknown, though it probably won't be $300k. It's an exuberant price for such a car, but knowing the money goes towards a good cause combined with having the VIN 001 of the line is worth every penny.

The 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt is sporting a modified 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 pushing 475 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, 15 hp more than a standard GT. It will also get a six-speed manual transmission. To keep true to the movie the car premiered in, it features a cue ball shift knob, special leather-trimmed Recaro seats, Highland Green paint, and the signature Bullitt badges.

More details about the retail version of the Bullitt will be released at a later date.
