Compared to the race-ready WRX STI Type RA NBR Special that tried to break a record in Nurburgring last summer, the 2018 WRX STI Type RA has less weight, as well as upgrades to the engine, transmission, braking system, and suspension. It's coming to consumers with aluminum 19-inch BBS wheels, a roof panel and rear wing made of carbon fiber, and no spare tire. You better not pop any wheels.
To set it apart from the other models, the 2018 WRX STI Type RA has Cherry Blossom Red exterior accents and black-finish side mirrors, a fender badge, and a shark-fin antenna trim. It's also going to be sitting on 310 horsepower, thanks to the stock cold air intake, high-flow performance exhaust system, and a reprogrammed ECU to enhance engine performance.

The 2018 BRZ tS is going to be rolling with STI-tuned shocks and springs, plus flexible V-braces tucked away in the engine compartment. It has improved steering response, Brembo performance brakes, and mounts 18-inch wheels with 215/40 tires. On the exterior, the BRZ tS has the exact same color patterns, badges, and accents as the WRX STI Type RA.
Each car will be available in WR Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Silica, or Crystal White Pearl paint jobs. Pricing and specs will be available toward the end of the year, and these beauties are expected to hit the roads in the first quarter of 2018.
