The video consists of a series of extreme close-ups of the car with a series of different text lines appearing on screen. The words all consist of the pattern "no ___". No crowdsourcing, No smoke and mirrors, things like that. The video ends with the date of October 17th as the announcement date.
Little is known about what the car is. some speculate it to be a 600-hp hybrid coupe, while others think it is an all-new model. Here's what Polestar had to say;
"We don't settle for average. We don't search for middle ground. Our cars are not built to fit into pre-defined segments or to fit a certain target group. When we launch our new car on the 17th October we reveal a car that we would want to drive ourselves."
Polestar has plans to branch off of Volvo and become an independent car company, designing and building their own electrified cars, as well as the occasional special version of Volvo cars.
