The Unexpected Reveal

The McLaren 720S has been revealed early as an image of the supercar has leaked online prior to it's Geneva Motor Show debut. This comes as no surprise, since nothing is kept a secret for long these days, right?

While the name of its second-generation entry hasn't been announced yet, the leaked image does confirm the 720S name. This is a replacement for the McLaren 650S.

What's It Like?

As you can see from the image below, the 720S will feature a deployable rear spoiler and large scissor doors. The side air intakes are pretty large as well.

Implied by the name, drivers can expect a twin-turbocharged 4.9-liter V8 engine, and 720 horsepower. According to Left Lane News, it hits 124 mph from a standstill in 7.8 seconds, then stop in a matter of only 4.6 seconds.

The 650S was priced at $208,361, while the 675LT was $273,064. It's expected that McLaren's new supercar will be priced somewhere in between. For a convertible, drivers might be expected to shell out about $17,889 more.

Wait, We've Seen This Before...

In case you're wondering where you've seen this before, the luxiourious supercar was leaked on Instagram back in January as well. Instagram user Lamborghiniks published a picture of the car, calling it the 650S successor.

For this to be leaked not just once, but twice, it really takes the thunder out of McLaren's Geneva announcement. At least now they know people are excited over the vehicle.
