McLaren has confirmed their next Supercar and it's extremely track focused.

To be revealed in the first quarter of next year, this car is part of McLaren's Track22 business plan. In an effort to maintain it's road-legal status but still be the best on the track, McLaren needed to give up comfort and efficiency.

Internally called the P15, this new car will have a 720S' 4.0-liter turbocharged V-8 with upgraded internals and an extra strong turbocharger, giving it a hefty 789 horsepower. The P15 is going to be a fairly light vehicle too, weighing less than 2870 pounds. This gives its one of the highest power-to-weight ratios amongst other McLaren creations, primarily thanks to the Monocage II carbon fiber tub.

The P15 will make a good challenger to the 9.8-second quarter-mile time that Motor Trend has on record from when comparing the P1 coupe to the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Only 500 or so will be brought to production, and expect a price tag of over $1,000,000, this upcoming supercar will be a white whale of a ride.
