Jaguar has joined the all-electric bandwagon with the reveal of heir first production EV. One that they believe can rival the Tesla Model X. The automaker will debut the I-Pace at this year's Geneva Auto Show.

The fully electric vehicle will push out 394 hp and 512 lb-ft of torque thanks to two electric motors. This gives it a 4.5-second 0-60 mph time. Its 90-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery sits low and centered for an even weight distribution. Although EPA estimates are not yet available, Jaguar expects a range of 240 miles.

The I-Pace is slightly larger than the E-Pace, measuring at 184.3 inches in length. Its body retains the shape we saw a few years ago with its concept version: sloping roofline, hood scoop, bold character lines, and slim headlights. The door handles remain flush with the bodywork until you touch them or command them to rise with the key fob. A dual touchscreen system can be found in the cabin.

Charging is somewhat quick. Reaching 80% takes about 40 minutes with a 100-kW DC fast charger. If you're using a 230-volt wall box at home, this will take a lengthy 10 hours. The I-Pace will also feature over-the-air software updates, a new feature for Jaguars that will help improve battery energy control software.

Pricing for the Jaguar I-Pace in the States should be revealed at the Geneva Auto Show next week. Trim levels will include S, SE, and HSE, as well as a First Edition model that will be available for one year only.
