A German court has decided that Ferrari will no longer be aloud to use the Testarossa name, as it has been rightfully given over to a toy company who would like to manufacture bicycles and shavers. It's definitely a strange turn of events, but the court came to the conclusion that Ferrari didn't use the Testarossa often enough over the past 20 years to prevent others from taking a swing at it.

The boss of the toy manufacturing company really lucked out on this one, as he probably wouldn't have spent a large chunk of money trying to buy the licensing rights from Ferrari. Keep in mind, Ferrari is still able to come back to the court to challenge the decision if they could come up with another excuse. Ferrari's main point this time around was that they are going continued maintenance on the vehicle, but the court didn't believe that was enough of an effort.

This is either going to be the death of the Testarossa, or a rebirth. Perhaps Ferrari will want to hold on to the name so badly that they will remake a new model to keep the rights. If they don't, you might be running to the store to pick up a new Testarossa razor to trim your beard.
