Elon Musk is an ambitious man, there's no doubt about that. And with the advent of social media, it's not hard to hear about his latest ideas. In a recent Tweet, Musk expresses an intent to develop artificial intelligence for Teslas akin to Knight Rider's K.I.T.T.

When Musk recently shared an article pertaining to artificial intelligence in the modern age, a follower asked him if we as consumers can expect to see our own K.I.T.T. level AI in Tesla vehicles. He responded with a simple "yes".

K.I.T.T., also known as the "Knight Industries Two Thousand," was a Pontiac Trans Am modified with advanced technology, giving it and the ability to talk and think like your standard supercomputer. Driven by and partnered with David Hasselhoff's Michael Knight, the pair were the protagonists of their own TV show for four years. The idea of an intelligent car has been an idea of pure fiction. But with modern advances in technology, it may be a near-reality.

While Musk talks a big game, Hyundai has made the greatest advancements toward such an idea. The brand announced at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show plans to debut a personal AI assistant in 2019 for new models. They boast the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, remind drivers of upcoming responsibilities, suggest alternate traffic routes, and manage all of your standard vehicle operations (except for driving, of course)

I'll be waiting for custom voice packs. I'd love to have Micheal Cane tell me I have an appointment.
