Everyone looks at Tesla and Uber for their advancements in self-driving technology, but Cadillac has been in the game for a good two years. As a matter of fact, their Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system is getting a major upgrade soon.

According to a report by The Verge, the automaker intends to update the Super Cruise system for their 2020 Cadillac CT5s. This marks the model as the second in the Cadillac line to have the feature, the first being the CT6.

The automaker didn't divulge what exactly they tend to add to the semi-autonomous feature. Mike Bride, the chief engineer for the CT5, speaks a big game, implying that the company is going to "step up their game." But that could mean anything.

Brandon Vivian, the executive chief engineer at Cadillac, explained that they intend to add new features and abilities regularly here forward. Fortunately, the updates can happen wirelessly over the air. So vehicle owners won't have to take the car into a dealership for it.

Cadillac is looking to add the Super Cruise system onto every vehicle they offer as soon as 2020, the CT5 sedan is only the beginning.

While healthy competition sounds nice, their announcement lack substance. How can we trust that this feature will be any good if you don't talk about what you intend to change?
