Ares has returned from their busy corner of Modena to give us a first look at their next model in the Legends Reborn series.

The coachbuilder and tuner has a line of classic, iconic car models, reimagined in a modern design and with top-of-the-line materials. The line was called the Legends Reborn series. The first model to showcase the name was a De Tomaso Panther built out of a Lamborghini Huracan.

Now they've unveiled the Project 2, an homage to Italian roadsters from the 50s. From the way it looks, the Maserati A6GCS/53 Spider as the main inspiration.

Other than imagery, Ares hasn't actually revealed much about Project 2. The vehicle is still early in the development phase, after all. What we do know, however, is that the model will use a combination of carbon fiber and custom aluminum. The donor vehicle chassis remains unsaid. They used the GranTurismo for the Sciadipersia project last year, so perhaps they will for this example as well.

In the cabin, Project 2 will be a near-perfect recreation of the retro stylings from that era. It hosts a simple central transmission tunnel, a metal dash with classic dials, and even a wooden steering wheel.

Ares has yet to announce how many examples will be produced nor what it might cost. We'll have to wait and see.
