Leave it to Ares to once again make one of our favorite vehicle modifications. Their most recent project has transformed a Tesla Model S into a stylish convertible.

The project was commissioned by a private buyer. They approached the Italian vehicle mod facility with a simple request: chop the top off of their Tesla Model S. The resulting outcome is so smooth and seamless that we’d easily believe it was produced by Tesla themselves.

The task must have been harder than they thought. The shop announced plans to produce a convertible mod nearly three years ago. The process begins with removing the roof, the central B pillars, and the rear doors. From there, they shortened the wheelbase. The sides were reinforced to better handle vehicle strain and a new set of doors were made to fit the large, now-coup style.

They enlarged the back side, moving the back seats forward slightly and adding in the canvas roof storage compartment. While they were at it, the seats were replaced with a sporty style 2+2 layout. Like any high-end mod shop, the vehicle was fitted with a custom carbon fiber body kit for a general performance improvement.

Style-wise, the body is full white. The interior is coated in ice white leather with orange piping, at the request of the client. All in all, it's a super stylish modification. We’re not going to ask how much it cost, though.
