From Concept Art To Dreams

Leaked patent images are the best. They exist for everything from video game consoles to cars. This time, it was patents showing images of an extra special version of the LaFerrari.

And as any car fanatic would, someone has taken the concepts and created a vision of a Maserati MC12 successor. If you remember, the MC12 was derived from the Ferrari Enzo, the LaFerrari's predecessor, so it isn't too much of a stretch.

The man behind the rendition is a senior German art director/web designer who signs his work Peisert Design. Clearly the man has talent; the car looks sleek.

In the images, the supercar really does look like a re-bodied version of the LaFerrari, but a Maserati successor based on it is probably not going to happen, because the world is unfair. Still, one can dream.

Crickets Chirp

Despite the odds, there are rumors flying that there could be a MC12 successor, but there's no concrete evidence of this. Maserati has kept eerily quite while supercar fanatics speculate and speculate some more.

Wait, What About The Patents?

About the patents, however, it seems Ferrari is creating an extra special version of the LaFerrari, perhaps to celebrate the company's 70th anniversary.

So at least there's that. A new Maserati halo car based on the 70th anniversary special has little chances of ever existing, but there is a new Ferrari to look forward to. No further details have been leaked as of late, but when they do, we'll keep you posted!
