Prepare to Unveil

Dutch supercar maker Spyker unveiled the Spyker C8 Preliator last year at the Geneva Motor Show, and the whole world stopped to gawk.

Well, clearly the automakers wanted to either recreate that, or top it this year, because a drop-top version is being unveiled at this year's Geneva show.

The teaser for it suggested that it would have a folding top, but nothing is known for sure. The specifics are being kept a secret, so they can avoid leaks before the Geneva Motor Show.

Speculations

For now, all anyone can do is speculate, since it is based on the C8 Preliator. Chances are this new model will be heavier than its counterpart, because of the need for extra structural reinforcements. That means it will be well over 3,064 lbs.

Also, the C8 was limited to only 50 models, and costs roughly $354,990. If that's any indication of what's to come, this new model may also be limited and pricey.

But Will It Be Enough?

Despite all the impressive specs that are sure to come from the Dutch supercar maker, the fact of the matter is that competition is fierce at the auto show. There's already been leaks to other impressive vehicles, and that's not including those that have done a much better job at keeping things under wraps.

If the C8 Preliator successor is anything like is being speculated, it just might have a shot at being at least one of the most memorable cars at the show. But it all remains to be seen.
