There’s been plenty of talk about the upcoming 2022 Ford Bronco. People have pretty big expectations. And apparently, the vehicle is so big that it doesn't fit the assembly line.

According to a report by Motor Authority, the Ford Bronco Raptor ran into an interesting issue when running through production: it’s too tall. With a 14-inch rear suspension, the model reaches an impressive 78 inches in height. Originally, the design was meant to have a 13-inch suspension on both the front and rear, but the engineers added an extra inch to the back. This presented a problem because that one single inch makes it too tall to run through the assembly line at their factory in Wayne, Michigan.

Don’t worry. Production will continue as normal. With a bit of creative thinking, the production team made a two position lower shock mount bracket, allowing the rear suspension to be locked into place at a lower height. Once assembled, the models are sent to the Mod Center next door, where accessories are installed and that mount bracket is released, allowing the vehicle suspension to fully extend without issue.

It’s nice to hear about funny little hiccups like this, sometimes. Especially when the issue doesn’t result in any actual bad news (like delays).
