After the increasing concerns over the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced a temporary shutdown for a few of their Italian plants.

FCA explained that the shut down would only last for a few days. But for those few days, production in Italy will essentially come to a complete halt. It's not clear how this will affect vehicle availability in the near future.

Their Italian plants were most likely chosen due to the severe impact the disease has had on the country, affecting it more than most other European nations.

This is only the latest in automotive complications due to the virus. The announcement comes a few days after the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix by FIA and Formula One. They also have modified later races, like removing the live audience from the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Geneva International Motor Show was cancelled as well.

Stay healthy, everyone.
