The race for electrification remains strong. So strong, in fact, that Porsche has invested a 10% stake in Rimac Automonili, the Croation firm.

Lutz Meschke, deputy chairman of the executive board and member of the executive board for finance and IT at Porsche, had this to say.

“We feel that Rimac’s ideas and approaches are extremely promising, which is why we hope to enter into close collaboration with the company in the form of a development partnership.”

If Rimac sounds familiar, it's likely because of the Concept_One, a battery-powered electric supercar, or it's successor, the C_Two. The company also produces many electric-car components. They believe the future is electric. And considering Porsche's investment, they think so too.

Rimac’s CEO Mate Rimac responded to the company partnership.

"This partnership now is an important step for Rimac on our way to become a component and system supplier of choice for the industry in electrification, connectivity and the exciting field of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.”

Should the decision prove fruitful, we may be seeing more Rimac internationally.
