How much do you think it'd cost someone to cause a 4-hour flight closure, 300 flight delays, and dozens of cancellations? It'll cost precisely $56, nothing more than a traffic citation, apparently.

It began Sunday when someone left a rental car on a lot in the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The four-dour silver Nissan was left idling on the curb line of Terminal 4's upper deck. After about 25 minutes, local police called in a towing service.

Before the tow company could arrive, law enforcement told them to hold on and wait at Terminal 3 instead. The vehicle was now suspected for containing an explosive, though evidence of why this conclusion was made is unknown.

The following four hours were spent with the Phoenix bomb squad and a bomb-defusing robot. They concluded that the vehicle was left where it was in an act of negligence, and not an attack on one of the airport's busiest terminals.

According to Sgt. Tommy Thomspon, the man responsible for the event will face nothing more than a traffic citation, costing approximately $56 dollars. He will likely be responsible for the damage to the vehicle caused by the bomb squad (that's why it looks to beat up in the image), and will most likely be banned from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
