Koenigsegg is hard at work with their own projects, such as the $1.15 million supercar. And if sources can be trusted, it's both close to production, and pushing over 1,000 horsepower.

According to a tweet by Twitter user AutoPap on Wednesday, a new vehicle was seen close to production. They remarked on carbon and aliminum, but the most notable aspect was the 2.9 liter V8 1050bhp hybrid engine.

"This evening I saw a car that’s just about to enter production with a 2.9 litre V8 1050bhp hybrid engine. Aluminium and carbon body with carbon fibre wheels.

It’s stunning."

when pressed further, AutoPap claims the vehicle is the "son of Koenigsegg." This is most likely due to the automaker's recent announcement for a vehicle sporting the same engine.

AutoPap claims to have access to early automotive projects, such as the Romac Concepts, due to his status as an automotive investor. The authenticity of his claims were solidified further when the tweet itself was deleted.

It's not certain when Koenigsegg will make the reveal for themselves, but it looks like it'll be soon.
