Odds are someone somewhere made a joke about giving/purchasing a luxury car, only to discover they instead had a small, scale model of said vehicle. As it turns out, that's still quite the investment. Amalgam Collection is now offering a McLaren Senna 1:8 scale model for the low, low price of $8,184.

Amalgam has a history of creating expensive scale models of high-end vehicles. The quality is outstanding. Though it better be, given the price tags.

This particular model is the McLaren Senna Limited Edition. It has the classic McLaren Orange paint. You can also see the exposed carbon fiber elements, metal wheels, and strong, blue calipers. The model uses the original CAD drawings to get a perfect scale, and even uses same paint used on the actual vehicles. According to Amalgam, the model takes 3,000 hours to build, 300 of which were done by hand.

Assuming money is no limit, which is likely if you're willing to drop $9K on a model, then you have a slightly more expensive alternative available, as well. The Bespoke version will cost you $9,384 and will come with exterior and interior colors of the buyer's choice. Beyond that is the Bespoke Plus, which offers full-on customization for $10,584.

All options come with no motor pushing around zero horsepower and absolutely no lb-sq of torque. It has no transmission, so I guess that makes it an automatic?

This only leaves one question: would this qualify for an auto loan by my bank?
