About 4 years ago we saw the 30th anniversary of the BMW M5. At that time, the automaker produces 300 special editions of the line called the "30 Jahre M5." About 2 years ago we saw the same happen with the M3, but with 500 productions of the 30 Jahre M3.

Now, in 2018, we see the 30 Jahre M4 in celebration the 30th anniversary of the 2-door convertible vehicle with 300 units of the BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre.

Unfortunately, only 30 of the 300 units will be coming to the States. Twenty of these will sport a Macao blue coating of paint, with the other 10 in Mandarin II yellow. No word on pricing yet. If we estimate it off of the M3 special edition, then odds are the BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre will be as high as $90k.

That extra cost goes towards some extra pizzazz, at least. Anniversary-edition M4s include the Competition package, adding 19 horsepower to the engine, better steering and suspension, and top of the line software. Upgraded beyond that are 20-inch matte gray alloys wheels.

The cabin will receive a color scheme unique to the paint option you selected for the body. Macao Blue cars will get either a blue-on-black or silver-on-black theme, while Mandarin II yellow cars will only be available with yellow-accented black interiors. Unique "30 Jahre Edition" badging can be found on the doorsills, the passenger dash, and each headrest.

If only I could get a hold of such a rarity.
